ASEAN Learning Network (ALN)
University of Bengkulu has officially accepted as an “institutional member” of ALN. Individuals who are interested could apply for “individual members”. Staff of University of Bengkulu who are interested could contact Dr Yansen, Office of Partnership and International Affairs, UNIB.
UNIB ALN institutional membership was initiated last year when ALN council meeting was conducted at UNIB, organized and supported by Fac of Social and Political Science and also back up by University level. After formal registration in mid-2018, UNIB has been formally accepted as institutional member.

As is consistent with the Articles of Association of the ALN and our past activities, including the SEED (Social Entrepreneurship for Economic Development) programs, research and training seminars, training workshops, publications and conferences, as well as opportunities for inter-university and international exchanges and other collaborations, the ALN will continue to focus on capacity building (in relation to “Context-based research and practice”) of its members (both individual and institutional members) as well as the communities we engaged with, such as in our SEED programs.
ALN also focus on 2 Inter-related Work Clusters. These activities can be conveniently divided into two distinct but inter-related clusters, each with 2 distinct but all mutually reinforcing work areas within the ALN: (1) Context-based Research, Practice, Training and Development, including Knowledge Dissemination (for example, SEED programs, seminars,workshops, conferences and publications), and (2) Inter-university and International Exchanges and Collaborations, including all kinds of meaningful, developmental and value-adding collaborative activities, the SEED programsbeing currently the most visible and valuable of such activities in the ALN.
As the current flagship activity of the ALN, the SEED program is an extremely valuable and a highly visible product of both these sets of activities, namely (1) Context-based Research and Development, and (2) Inter-university and International Exchanges and Collaborations. In addition, the development of new ALN country chapters, which must involve “win-win” collaborations for participating member universities, would also come under this group. More and better programs could be developed, better coordinated, publicized and supported through these 2 proposed work clusters (4 proposed work areas).
